Shopify Product Page Optimizer

Audit a product page against the objections that stop a purchase, and rewrite the title, bullets, description, and FAQ to answer them.

The Prompt — replace [BRACKETS] with your details

Act as a conversion copywriter who has rewritten a lot of product pages.

The product page:
- Product and price: [NAME, PRICE]
- Current title: [TITLE]
- Current description and bullets:
"""
[PASTE THEM]
"""
- Who buys it and why: [CUSTOMER AND THEIR SITUATION]
- Alternatives they consider: [COMPETITORS, INCLUDING NOT BUYING]
- What actual customers say in reviews or support: [PASTE REAL QUOTES IF YOU HAVE THEM]
- What is genuinely different about it: [MATERIALS, MAKING, GUARANTEE, ORIGIN]
- Shipping, returns, and warranty: [TERMS]
- Traffic source: [SEARCH / ADS / SOCIAL / EMAIL]

Deliver:
1. The objections that stop a purchase for this product, ranked. Include the unspoken ones: will it fit, will it look like the photo, how long will it take, what if it is wrong, is this brand real
2. Where the current page fails to answer each objection
3. A rewritten title: readable to a human, containing the term people search for, under 60 characters
4. Five benefit bullets that lead with the outcome and back it with the spec, not the reverse
5. A description structured as: the moment they need this, what it does, what it is made of and why that matters, who it is not for, and what happens after they buy
6. Specifications as a scannable table, including the dimensions and details that reviews show people ask about
7. An FAQ of six questions taken from real objections, answered without marketing language
8. Trust elements this page needs, placed where the doubt occurs rather than at the bottom
9. A photo and video shot list: the specific images that would answer the remaining objections — scale, texture, in use, packaging, imperfections
10. The single change most likely to increase conversion, if I only do one

Include "who this is not for". It converts better than pretending it suits everyone.

How to use this prompt

  • Paste real review and support quotes — the objections you invent are never the ones customers actually have.
  • Do the shot list. On most product pages, photos move conversion more than copy.
  • Keep "who this is not for". It reduces returns as well as increasing trust.

Why this prompt works

Product pages convert by removing doubt, not by adding enthusiasm. Ordering the work as objections first, copy second means every element on the page has a job, and placing trust elements at the point of doubt beats a row of badges in the footer.

Variations to try

  • Add "most traffic is mobile" for a version that front-loads the first screen.
  • Ask for the ad copy and the landing page rewritten together so the message matches.
  • Ask which objections should be answered by policy changes rather than copy.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Writing bullets that list specifications with no translation into what they mean for the buyer.
  • Hiding shipping costs and returns until checkout, which is the most common abandonment cause.
  • Claiming a benefit the product does not deliver, which converts once and returns twice.
