Veo Prompt Generator
Describe the shot you want and PromptVibe writes the Veo prompt — motion, camera move, lighting and duration spelled out, so you stop re-rolling clips that drift. Free, no account needed.
A Veo prompt generator converts a plain description into a structured video prompt: subject and framing, subject motion, camera movement, lighting, style and shot length. Because Veo generates motion and can generate audio, prompts that specify both visual and sound intent produce far more predictable clips.
How Veo prompts differ
- Sound is part of the prompt: Veo can generate audio alongside video, so ambient sound, dialogue intent and whether you want silence are all things worth stating. Leaving audio unspecified means it is decided for you.
- Shot grammar beats adjectives: Wide, medium, close-up, over-the-shoulder, low-angle, tracking, static — this vocabulary is precise. "Cinematic" is not; it is an adjective that different models resolve in different directions.
- One beat per clip: A short clip holds a single action. Multi-step narratives compress into something that reads as a jump cut. Chain several prompts if you need a sequence.
- Consistency needs anchors: To keep a subject stable across several clips, repeat the same concrete description each time — clothing, hair, setting, palette — rather than referring back to "the same person as before".
Techniques that work
- Write it like a shot list entry. Subject and framing, then motion, then camera, then light, then style, then duration, then exclusions. The order helps you notice what you have left out.
- State the audio you want. "Ambient: quiet room tone and distant traffic. No music, no dialogue." is a real instruction. So is "silent".
- Anchor the palette. Naming two or three colours that dominate the frame keeps a series of clips visually coherent.
- Keep exclusions short and specific. Three exclusions that matter beat a long list. Text overlays, cuts and extra people cover most failure modes.
Example Veo prompts
Ambient scene with sound — Descriptive video prompt
A medium shot of rain running down a café window, a blurred street beyond. Subject motion: droplets run and merge down the glass; headlights pass out of focus behind. Camera: static, locked off, focused on the glass. Lighting: overcast daylight plus warm interior light from the right. Audio: steady rain on glass and faint muffled street noise. No music, no dialogue. Style: naturalistic, cool exterior against warm interior, shallow depth of field. Duration: 6 seconds, single take. Avoid: text, cuts, people entering frame.
Product demonstration — Descriptive video prompt
A close-up of hands unfolding a compact aluminium laptop stand on a wooden desk. Subject motion: the stand opens in one smooth movement and is set down; hands withdraw from frame. Camera: slow arc from left to right around the object, staying level. Lighting: bright, even softbox light from above and front; minimal shadows. Audio: a single soft click as it locks open, quiet room tone. No music. Style: clean commercial product look, neutral white balance, uncluttered background. Duration: 5 seconds, one continuous shot. Avoid: logos, text overlays, faces.
Test it before you trust it
A prompt that reads well is not the same as a prompt that works. The Compare AI Lab runs the same prompt through up to three models side by side so you can see which one actually handles your task, and the A/B tester scores two versions of a prompt against criteria you choose. Free members get a comparison every day.
Limitations
- PromptVibe is an independent tool and has no affiliation with Google or Google DeepMind.
- Structure improves consistency; it does not guarantee a specific result.
- Model versions, durations and audio behaviour change — check the vendor's current documentation.
Frequently asked questions
What should a Veo prompt include?
Subject and framing, what moves in the scene, how the camera moves, the lighting, the audio you want (or silence), the visual style, the shot length, and a short list of things to avoid.
How do I keep the same character across several clips?
Repeat the identical concrete description in each prompt — clothing, hair, age, setting and palette. Referring back to "the same person" does not carry across generations, but an identical description gets much closer.
Can I ask for specific audio?
Yes. Stating the ambient sound you want, and whether you want music or dialogue at all, is more reliable than leaving it unspecified. "Silent" is also a valid instruction.
Is this an official Google tool?
No. PromptVibe is independent and has no affiliation with Google or Google DeepMind.
