Rules: quote exactly, never smooth a quote into something the guest did not say. Flag anything you could not find a timestamp for.

• Use a transcript with timestamps; without them the clip section is guesswork.
• Check each pull quote against the audio — transcription errors turn into misquotes fast.
• Give the clip timestamps to your editor as-is; they are the fastest part of this output to act on.

Show notes are grunt work with a clear structure, which is where models are strongest. The value add is the clip section: asking why each moment travels forces a judgement rather than a list, and the exact-quote rule protects you and your guest from a fabricated line.

Variations to try

• Add "our audience is technical founders" to get takeaways pitched at the right level.
• Ask for a newsletter version of the episode, written as prose rather than bullets.
• Ask which questions the host asked that produced the weakest answers, as prep for the next recording.

Common mistakes to avoid

• Publishing quotes the model paraphrased. Guests notice, and it is a fast way to lose one.
• Writing takeaway bullets as topics, which tell a reader nothing and get no clicks.
• Letting the summary describe the episode you meant to record rather than the one you did.
